Making Time for the Past
What makes a decade unique? The fashion and fads? The art and architecture? The products and people? The science and celebrities? The events and evolution of industry?
Each month in our flyers and on our Web site, we’re sharing a snapshot of what made a particular decade unique or taking a look at the evolution of an arts or crafts trend spanning multiple decades. After a quick look at history, we’ll offer inspirational ideas that put a modern twist on a project or crafting technique that was all the rage in that age.

While you’re taking this quick trip with us down memory lane, consider jotting down an arts, crafts or sewing memory of your own for our Decades Sweepstakes.
From the submissions, we’ll draw two grand prize winners—one for sewing and one for crafting. Each prize package, worth more than $1,800, includes valuable sewing or crafting supplies from favorite name brands.
