In the home: Donna's Crochet Helper

We asked our Facebook fans to share how they use everyday household items to help make crafting easier. From embossing with light bulbs to using binder clips to hold fabric pieces together, there were some amazing suggestions. Thank you to everyone who submitted! Check out Donna's idea -- using corks!
I'm not sure if you consider wine corks an every day item, but I couldn't crochet without it! Since I have arthritis in my hands, it makes it easier to hold the hooks. I can crochet for hours now!

  1. I might give this a try! I don't have arthritis but I can't hold the tiny/skinny hooks needed to crochet with thread. Thanks for the tip!

  2. It's a great idea! I have nerve damage in my fingertips and anything to make a larger grasping area as a great help!

  4. I've been using the plastic coated foam adapter but this sounds like a better idea for the really skinny hooks. Thanks for sharing the idea :)
