National Volunteer Week with Jo-Ann

We're excited to celebrate National Volunteer Week! Check back throughout the week to see photos from our volunteer opportunities.

In partnership with BVU: The Center for Nonprofit Excellence, we're also adding to our 2012 program to include Team Members at our three distribution centers located around the country.

“At Jo-Ann, we have a deep passion for supporting the communities we call home. In 2013, we are expanding our National Volunteer Week efforts in order to make an even greater impact,” said Tom Williams, senior vice president, human resources, at Jo-Ann. “With our volunteerism program growing to include hundreds of Team Members from our three distribution centers around the country, I look forward to seeing what the Jo-Ann volunteer team can accomplish this year.”

In 2012, 444 Team Members from the Jo-Ann Stores corporate office in Hudson, Ohio, participated in the program fulfilling 651 volunteer opportunities and donating more than 2,529 hours collectively over the course of a week.

The expansion of the program to include the three Jo-Ann Distribution Centers, located in Hudson, Ohio; Opelika, Ala.; and Visalia, Calif., grants the opportunity for Team Members to give back to their communities throughout the month of April.
