Interwoven
How do you get inspiration for a new project? Do you walk the aisles of your favorite craft store? Or browse blogs? Or comb through the boards on Pinterest?
Sometimes, a project will jump out at me, and I have to try it (right that second). For example: weaving.
Diane Gilleland's post on Craftstylish for weaving on a cardboard loom is straight-forward -- all you need is some yarn, scissors, a ruler, and cardboard. I tried it with Sensations Angel Hair (which is super soft), and some card stock I had.
Have you tried weaving? What are your methods?

We recently tried weaving a round t shirt rug on a hula hoop (found via family fun, I believe.) That bubbled a bit. My daughter wanted a new rug, so my husband made a rectangular PVC "loom" and she wove t shirt scraps to make an adorable rug. She is 15 and it took about 5 attempts to get it perfect, with my husband suggesting the final solution of weaving around the side pipes to prevent it from pulling in. She has photos on her blog: http://www.pinkinmind.blogspot.com
