1. How do you make time to craft?
Crafting is a fun priority in our house. We love to craft together as a family. It's great therapy for me and fun and creative for the kids. We love to MAKE at The McDermott's. The kids and I craft together at least 2-3 times a week. It's a way of life not just a hobby!
2. Who was your influence to craft?

My mom is my crafting influence. At an early age she taught me that the love is in the details. We always crafted together for school projects, parties, special occasions, and all holidays.
3. Name a crafting item you can't live without.
I can't live without my glue gun. I have a mini one and it can usually be found in my purse. I am armed and ready to DIY at all times. I'm also obsessed with twine which I carry on me at all times as well.

4. Someone says, "I'm not creative." How do you respond?
No such thing! There's no such thing as "not creative" when it comes to DIY. The Y stands for "yourself" which means whatever you make its an expression of YOU. I tell everyone to just dive in when it comes to crafting. Start small and start to build your craft confidence. You'll soon be addicted I promise that. The creator is in all of us it just needs to be awakened!
