1. How do you make time to craft?
While I'm incredibly lucky to be able to spend much of my day crafting, making time for impromptu projects is essential to keeping my creativity going. Whether it's some quick sketching time during a lunch break, painting with my girls after school, or just finding a few minutes every day to work on an ongoing sewing project, taking a break from the "have to's" to create something "just because" is a great way to feel rejuvenated. Even if you only have half an hour, claim it for crafting!
2. Who/What was your influence to craft?
I've always enjoyed creating, but when my oldest daughter was born, I was really inspired to craft for (and eventually, with) her. My girls and my husband are my biggest influence, and they keep me inspired.
3. Name a craft item you can't live without.
I would be lost without a needle and thread. The magic that one can create with just a string and a sharp stick never ceases to amaze me.
4. Someone says, "I'm not creative." How do you respond?
This is something I've definitely heard before, and I think it can always be replaced with "I haven't found what I'm passionate about creating yet." I believe that everyone is creative! If you don't think you are, uncovering your creative spark is really just about making time to try out different things and finding what you love to do.
Great advice! Thanks for the motivation!
