Me and my fiance met online, talked for 6 months and then he flew out to meet me. He never went back. So when he purposed he took me to the airport (where we first met) and took me to the exact baggage claim, and purposed infront of a bunch of unsuspecting travelers. We are getting married next year, and I couldn't be happier.
We met through a personals ad, although our daughters knew each other beforehand, and we had been dating for 5 weeks when we were given box seat tickets at the beautiful old theater in our town to see a one man play "Haley's Comet". It was a wonderful play, at least the first half, because he started giggling toward the end of the first half, I thought he'd lost his mind but instead he proposed in the box there overlooking the audience. I don't remember the rest of the play. We were married 3 1/2 months later because when I told my dad, he said what are you waiting for? You are old enough to know your mind. So we did! 13 years this past June.
We worked at the same place and he was new to the job. An the first words he ever said to me was will you marry me. I told him might want to know my name first. 8 weeks later we got married. And January 7 will be 35 years.
He took me on a surprise picnic. He'd gotten my favorite Chinese food and had a little cd player going with Enya music. When I opened my fortune cookie I read my proposal. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. We've been married six years now.
My husband proposed to me at the top of a lighthouse tower at the lighthouse bed and breakfast we were staying. We had just watched the sunset over lake superior and were dancing when he pulled out a ring that he made for me.
