Resolutions

Resolution: "...determination; the act of resolving or determining upon an action or course of action, method, procedure, etc." (Dictionary.com)

I usually don't make a hard and fast resolution. I've never committed to weight loss or exercise, to stop watching television, or to read one book per week. My resolutions are more nebulous -- "make sure to exercise, eat healthy, and try to read more." Maybe it's the definition of a resolution that makes it so difficult. It sounds so formal, so absolute.

But here's a resolution I can stand behind: to keep learning & complete one craft project per month. Yes, it's still a bit nebulous. But for me I need that creative buffer -- the space to brainstorm without restriction. I'm curious to see what comes from a bit of determination.

If you're resolved to learn a new craft or sewing ability, check out our Education Open House from 1-3 p.m. Jan. 7 (find our classes catalog here). You can find out if your store offers classes by clicking on the 'Classes' tab when you search on our store locator. -Kim @ Jo-Ann
