SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

DIRECTIONS for cake topper:

1. Using the Delta Creative On Safari template, outline the lion image onto the Martha Stewart Crafts Essentials stripe paper.
2. Cut the lion out with fine, small tip scissors, allowing you to maneuver around small curves.
3. Cut out a 4” circle from the Heidi Grace Designs® Glitter Paper using either a Cricut or small bowl as a template.
4. Using the 3-D Foam Squares, attach the lion to the center of the glitter circle.
5. With a dot of hot glue, attach the circle to a lollipop stick.
6. Folding crepe paper in small 1/4" pinches (not accordion), create a border, attaching it to the back of the circle, every inch, with hot glue.
7. Insert into the top of your cake.

DIRECTIONS for pennant banner:

  1. Cut out one small triangle and use it as a template to cut out 8 more.
  2. Attach the triangles, every 1 1/2", to the twine with a dot of hot glue.
  3. Drape the pennant banner around the edge of your cake.

TIP: Allow the icing on your cake to set for a few hours before decorating so that twine will lightly hold, but cardstock won’t absorb moisture.

Skill Level: No experience necessary
Approximate Crafting Time: Under 1 hour
